Greetings!

In thinking back, I thank God that I took the numerous difficult steps that were necessary, after Joe died, to build up my life.

They were the foundation that strengthened me. I had developed the discipline over those years to move into consistent writing and to build my coaching practice, enabling me to share the things that losing Joe taught me.

I have learned that doing the things I thought I could not do, were just the things that were ultimately the most rewarding.

Snow has been forecast for tonight and tomorrow. This will be our first of the season for 2011, at least in my part of Denver. We’re moving into another season, one of the reasons that many of us live here!

Within my writing career, I am moving into a new ’season’ as well.  I’ve just sent the proofs back to my printer.  All the editing and changes are done! The book will be published within the next few weeks.

My name is Patricia Muscari, Certified Life Coach and Founder of Your Future Within, LLC. I lost my husband to cancer several years ago.

After two years of emptiness and apathy I was still stuck. I knew I had to make some changes, if only to distract myself from the overwhelming sadness. And my children also looked to me for leadership.

There was no other choice:  I had to get un-stuck!

So I began to move forward, small step by small step, and after a while I started to discover how to live again.  And in time, so can you.

When you do allow yourself to dip your toe in the healing water; a gradual sense of relief begins to come over you, followed closely by discovery and curiosity for the future, and finally a sense of achievement and, yes, even a reclaiming of the joy you once felt, but in a different way.

This is probably hard to imagine right now, but try for a moment to consider what this kind of successful transition might mean for you.  The embracing of a new life that brings new possibilities, new explorations and a new set of positive emotions.

It’s possible.  I’m living proof.

It is sometimes sooo hard to be thoughtful and kind,  especially when the atmosphere around us is stressful.  Our snowfall today has all roads very slippery and accidents much more frequent.

I stood in awe this afternoon, watching a young man diffuse an extremely volatile traffic situation.   With people around him completely out of control, he gently and quietly worked and maneuvered the emotional situation to a  calm and  agreeable conclusion.

Apparently, he had no vested interest in the outcome.  He was patience and forgiveness.   Inspiring!
